Pay whatever you feel is within your price range. Anyway, will the wheels fit? I don't know what kind of offset they are, but they look like they have a positive offset which might not work without spacers.

IMHO it is kinda hard to match a wheel up with the 280ZX. Most cars any wheel to a certain extent will look ok. But i have notice i find the polished factory or those very close in design look the best on this car. I have seen some 280s that look good with bigger wheels, but for the most part i like a CLEAN car not all tricked out

Yeah... I'm pretty sure they won't. For starters they are 5 lug (you'll need spacers... a few hundred more $$$ for ya). Second, you'd have a hell of a time trying to fit 9" wides in the rear w/o wheel well and/or strut probs. And 8" wide fronts is pushing it too.

Rod & Bleach... what size are/were your 18's?

Did they tell you the offset / backspacing of the wheel?

They're most likely 4x100 (Honda, etc.) not 4x114 which is what the Z cars use and they are definitely a FWD or "positive" offset wheel.

Most people don't know anything about Z cars and most "Wheel" store employees don't know anything about wheels if it doesn't fit a Honda.

I'm running 16x8's on the front and 16x9's on the rear on my 280ZX. The ZX has quite a bit more room under the fenders than the first gen Z cars.

the rear is big. You can fit 9 inch wide in back of a 280ZX (zero to +10mm offset should work)

Mine were 18x8 all around with -7mm offset

I would order +10mm on all four wheels, 8 wide in front 9 wide in back. That should fit nicely.
"should"

ok, I just looked at their website. They offer those in +20 or +40mm offsets and 4x114 bolt pattern.
Those actually might work on the 280ZX. I'm not totally sure though. The clearance issue would be on the inside though, not on the outter fender lip. Maybe a 6mm spacer ring would do the trick all around. (if you're comfortable with one of those)
