Cool New GM Catalog

For those thinking about the V8 swap, the new GM catalog is here...they now have no joke turn key engines complete with alternators, belts, carbs or F/I already on the block and ready to go!!!

Just goto GM performance parts.com to get the PDF, its big but good reading if you want to do the swap without building the engine.

Crap.....cannot edit above post.

Wasn't an insult to you guys here because you wouldn't be here without the "wisdom" but I was lamenting the fact that any dude with money can now easily order lots of power without going through the education that comes with working on them as well as the appreciation for the immense power that said engine will generate.

Understood brother, I personally like to read what they have in them and compare the engines and see what would suit me as far as cam specs, piston type, rods, crank, fuel delivery, hp and tq ratings and at what rpm they get those ratings. Sometimes to much power IS to much depending on what kind of driving you want to do.

If I had my choice I would go with the 290 or 330hp engines even though I really want that ZZ4 or the 383, I figure with the 290 or 330hp engines I could put the Edlebrock pro flo F/I system on them and still have acceptable MPG's with it.
