Okay just a update for all of you. I have decided to get the 2nd motor choice at Auto Zone. As soon as my loan check comes from my 401k. I am getting 5k, but it will go quick. Because I need to pay some debts, and take care of other things. But I did want to get another motor for my '83. That way I can put my '82 down, and get him ready for the turbo swap later.

And skittle, did that guy ever get back to you, about the '83 motor for sale? That may also be still an option, just depends. Get back to me bro' if you can. And thanks for checking for me.

Thanks bud, took some work to figure out. But I learn more and more about things on computers here and there. By the way I really dig your animations also. I get a kick out of your Han Solo and Darth Vader with the pizza. And the other 2 are friggin' hillarious also.

Okay verry soon, I will be getting a remanufactored motor for my '83 280zx. Also I am going to replace the clutch with a centerforce, more than likely, and use a different throw out bearing. I am working on cleaning up my concrete side this weekend. And prepare to turn my Z around to get it ready for the motor swap. I am borrowing my dad's engine hoist and stand again. And I am painting the block and such. I am also going to get another set of headers, than I can just bolt right on.

I have also decided to swap out my digital cluster, and go to analog. I am starting a thread in the technical section. For a certain question I have. Anyway this should get you all up to date on what I am doing. Will update as I go, and progress.

Cool man, appreciate it. I am going to hold off on getting a motor. And see what you can find out on the one, you told me about. In the meantime, I can get my Z ready. Swap out the gauges, and such. Do everything I can, while waiting for the motor. Then when I get the motor, I can spend less time, and get it running quicker. Keep me updated bro', and once again, thanks man.

I agree with Shady, just get a cheap engine stand, borrow an engine puller. Once out take the engine appart and clean it up a little. There are machine shops that will clean both the block & heads. You can get the shop to grind the valves, hone the cylinders, and check what size rings you need. Then just buy the parts get the manual and follow the directions. If you take your time and can follow directions you will come out ahead and feel great on doing it yourself. Also if you have any questions while doing it there are many qualified Z people who will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Good Luck
