My Z hates winter

My Z is a bit freaky to drive in snow. Amazingly I can get out of my driveway but gripping the road is another issue lol

Not to mention that my rear defroster switch burnt up, and my window sprayers both broke along with my washer pump burning up!

And for w/e reason my heater always just blows out from the defrost vents. but never from the side defrost vents so all my windows sept for the front windshield fogs up badly. I know the system doesn't have any vac leaks and all the piping under the dash is hoked up properly. Any ideas?

sucks for you! but quit bitching, my s2000 is MUCH worse than any Z i've ever owned, jsut stuck blizzaks on the rear tires today though, THANK GOD cause we got hit with almost 6 inches of snow, and all night ive pulled away from the light MUCH MUCH faster than every other car I encountered. they are ****ing amazing... Plus my roof is a soft top with a vinyl rear window, no defrost, and scuffed up bad. so don't tell me about bad rear windows. scrape your rears, make sure all your vac lines are properly connectd to the vent controller box doodad and get some tires made for this season.

What I think dude is either your passageways for your vents are clogged or you need to adjust the linkages on top of the heater/ a/c control assembly. That can be found in a haynes pg. 207, ch. 10, section 18. I did it once and it can be a bit if a bi#ch to do. My sucks *** in snow too. Last time I drove it in snow I got stuck in the middle of a flat packed road. Falken ziex-512 tires aren't too snow friendly apparently haha.

Dude...

$57/ea. for 205/70/14. The taller tire will give you more ground clearance and increase your final drive ratio making it easier to pull away from a stop without spinning your wheels.

Man, I remember my 260Z turbo, that thing was a beast in snow, other than my talon, I don't think I had a car that could give 2 ***** less about what the conditions on the ground were. It spun 1st and part of second no matter what the weather rain or shine, in the snow or rain it would spin all 5 gears once in boost, but no matter what, it also always pulled right through everything.

Well my main issue is my alignment is ****, I have summer tires, and their really narrow tires too.

I'd fix all that if I had an income. Hopefully THAT will change when I'm done with the CDL class.

As for my heater, I found the issue. The foam between the heater unit and the blower blew out into chunks and I have like a 1/2" gap between them.

All seasons aren't made for snow, just somewhat lower temps and rain. below a certain temp they become to rigid for max traction and their compound and tread design isn't made to bite snow. They will do ok up front for steering and stoping a rwd car, but when it comes to moving a rwd car they aren't so great.

Never said the opposite, just letting you know that they aren't technically made for snow either. Just made to "deal" with it really.

How do I go about adjusting the chamber on the suspension? All 4 corners have well beyond the normal setting (suspension sagging from age, and I don't have the money for new springs/struts. Yet.

Well I did for one Pittsburgh winter. Then this spring my *** hit the driveway. Which was still ploped in the seat.

Call me crazy but I Actully think I heard rusty jones cry when I followed a salt truck on 279 inbound lol.

But here is the poll to ask. Anyone here actully own a driveable z originally titled in pa?? The rustburgher hailed from Daytona and the frankenmonster came outa Brownsville tx Which on a side note everything is in english/spanish kinda crazy. The super clean z's which Ive only counted 5 in the area came outa state.

BTW GO STEELERS!!!
