my swap will be done today
OK I know I said 24 hours, but I was not able to hang with the all nighter. Took a couple days off in fact. I have however invested over 48 + hours & then some. I have had more problems with the drive shaft bolts then I ever thought possible. The clutch cylinder tubing was a bitch as well my flared wrench did not help (a first) I could not get the slave cylinder hose to line fitting loose, ya know where the slave cylinder hose has the u clip.
And the reservoir fitting just let my flared wrench slip, any way, I ended up pulling the solid line through the bottom hole where the clip holds the slave hose, clear out the back of the car, then was able to take the hose and line to my vice for some pissed off persuasion until it broke loose.
Installing the pedal assembly was very easy, putting the dash back together is not to bad. Removing the cooler lines from the 3N71B and the radiator is a mess. Tranny fluid in my hair. I have long hair, and even in a pony tail my creeper managed to get it caught in the wheels. Thinking about a hair cut now.
For even the advanced guys here if the parts must be removed from the vehicles for the swap I still say it's gonna consume your entire weekend. If the parts are out already 24 hours and some sort of enhancement.
Time to get to work. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for your responses to my other post's as well. I appreciate the advice.
