I'm totally bs'ing, butttt I did get another Z last week!!=D
81 Coupe, N/A, 5Speed,
Headers, new clutch, rebuilt engine, great interior and working Speedo (which both are a first for me)
needed a new gas tank, ignition Switch, and #3 injector wasn't firing. Pulled the tank from my 83, had it cleaned at a radiator shop, replaced lines, etc, she's now up and running!! Shifts stronger than my 83 did.
Paid under 400 total, now I know what NismoPick means when he talks about finding a z for the right price! I'm ecstatic!!

How much you figure to put into this?
Are you going to fix the rust yourself?

 

Good deal! Clean interior too. Work on that rust over time. It's a classic. Congratulations.

 

honestly, I couldn't tell you. I know that the majority of us always end up exceeding expectations when we set a limit for how much we're going to put into our Z's. I figure under 1000 on rust(Houston has a bunch of cheap immigrant welders hustling for the lowest price). Maybeee 500 for a zforceproductions front bumper. 35 for a sterio. 300 on miscellaneous things going wrong maybe. 150-300 on an air compressor, 40 on a proper gun. 120 on paint. Finally learning how to paint = priceless lol

 

Simple. You need to fire your psychiatrist and put those bucks into that Z. A running Z is all the therapy you will need.
