Recently saved a 1982 280zx no turbo from going into the the scrapyard. It starts but once it starts going into idle it slowly start hesitating and turns off. When i try to give it gas to keep the RPMs up it dies too. i changed the ignition cap, new sparkplugs and new wires. i also put it a new fuel pump.

The gas on it was sitting for awhile so i took out as much as i could and put in new fuel. I opened the AFM and when i manually open it all the way it stays on longer but then starts to idle again and dies. i have no idea what is causing it. Also when i manage to keep it running and it gets hot, it just cranks and wont start.

I am from puerto rico and i think i have one of the last survivors around so i cant ask anyone else for help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ill see if i can attach some pictures of the car
