Really sorry to heat that, you have the best looking Z I've ever seen. That can be a mixed blessing cuz those "mo fo" punks are attracted to nice looking machines.

I have to park my F350 on the street bout 100 yards from my house. So far its only gotten hit by raw eggs.

My ZX is a POS so they don't bother with it.

Anyway, sure hope you find the mo fo's, but that's probably not too likely. still, let's hope.

while your at it you should see about stronger glass like double glazed or something..like they use in houses dont know if its legal but id dont break easy

Damn, dude...really sorry to hear about that. It makes me sick to the stomach to hear stuff like that. Did you get any plates or anything as the car drove off? Aaaaarrrrgghhh. I'm so pissed and it's not my car. Issac, hope you find those guys!

That is the worst feeling in the world, finding your car violated. I had a mini truck in Wyoming some punk kids busted the window out of my shell. They were not very smart vause they went past my carpet kit which had 4 12,s in it and in the storage bins I had my 9mm. They went into the cab and stole my registration and the 2 10,s I had behind the seat. Luckily the Rock Springs police caught the little punks trying to steal of all things a Corsica. They still had all the registrations they had taken that day in them. So I got all my stuff back. In Las Vegas some fool busted my drivers side window but the tint held it together, the sad part is my passenger door was unlocked. So I guess I have been lucky the crimnals I have ran into are really stupid.
I hope Hayward PD can help you get your stuff back. It sucks people cant just leave stuff alone. The dam window is gonna cost more than the speaker. Good Luck Ice, you do have one of the nicest ZX,s I have seen.

Sure hope they catch the low life who did it and that he's prosecuted for second degree burglary instead of vandalism.

A few years ago I locked the only set of keys for my 82 Fox Bird inside the car (stupid old guy). I figured the small rear side window would be easy to replace and cheaper that a lock smith, so I went after it with a BFH. After 10 or 12 heavy blows with the hammer and not a scratch on the window, I gave up.

Seems the window was made of Lexan. Would probably be too hard for you to shape, don't know, but they have it at Home Depot. I've been wanting to replace the driver's side window of my truck with Lexan because its bullet resistant, (I work in South Central.)

You don't park that car in a garage!?!?

That is madness. All those aftermarket parts are just screaming to get stolen if you're parking that thing outside. I have to park my 1970 Cuda outside because I can't afford a place with a garage yet, but I haven't slapped any expensive aftermarket stuff on it yet (stereos, rims, etc.) partly because I know it can be easily stolen. Even then, I still worry about that car constantly.

I would at least invest in a locking car cover. But, like I said, with all the money you've thrown at that Z of yours, you really need to park it in a garage with the alarm on. End of story.

 

Issac how much is full coverage insurance out there. I pay $39.00 a month for full coverage on my 78Z. I have it for just such an emergancy,( besides we get all the Utah rejects up here). My Z has bin hit three times in parking lots. Luckily the damage was very minor but still pisses me off. i use to get out of my car and kick each car next to me cause I knew they were gonna door ding me. But instead I got a Handicap sticker and park in the van parking, ( I am legally disabled for breaking my back twice). I know insurance in Cali is very expensive, when I lived there in the 80,s I was paying over $100 a month for my 70Z.
Well good luck man, like you said now you have a reason to redo your stereo.

I've always thought about hooking battery terminals up to the metal body of the car and if anyone touched it, they'd get shocked. as long as its on your property and to touch the car they have to trespass I don't see it being that illegal.
