The mirror warning light is lit up on my 83 280zx na. Did i unplug something when i replaced the carpet and the seats or what? I have never seen this dash light on before. I recently replaced carpet and had the seats recovered, that is the only thing i can think of that i have done.

 

Mirror warning light... I've never heard of this. The light actually says "Mirror Warning" ???

 

83 was a nutty year wasn't it Mirror warning light. What the hell would you need a mirror warning light for anyways? I mean, it's not exactly something you wouldn't notice if something goes wrong If that is indeed a mirror warning light then that is too funny

 

I bet it is mirror heating light ( elektro defog) it glows up orange .. maybe you unplugged the timing relay

 

Yes, I figured it is for the electonic heated mirrors (sorry about that) and the light just glows orange with the word "mirror". Where is the relay? any clues?
It was sort of weird, the first time i saw it was after i had reinstalled my rear-view mirror and I thought OK what sort of sick joke is this - MIRROR warning light?

 

probably under the seat (pas side) would be my guess, But i cant tell for sure hayens manaul does though ( and that is about all they are good for)

 

did you hook up the power adjusters in the center console? that may have done it

 

Oh so it's like that light that lets you know the rear defogger is on? I thought we were talking about a warning light or something

 

Well, it is on the row at the top of the dash, like next to the seat belt light, blue bright lights, and other lights like blinkers etc. The car went to the paint bay today,so i ain't sure what all is up there. I think i will check the console first, since it is easier to get off and back on than pulling the seats, unless someone is sure that it is under the pass seat. Thanks for the help.
