Main Gauge Cluster

My Main Gauge Cluster, Isnt Lighting Up When The Headlights Or Parking Lights Are On. Any Thoughts?

does your reat tail lights go on when you turn your headlights on??? i bet they dont either....

I Checked The Engine Light And It Was Showing The Tail Lights Were Out, Do You Know What It Is Then?

I have this same problem wiht my 81. Do your running/daylight's turn on? Mine short out.

No, my running lights are fine is just the gauge cluster lights, and my tail lights.

umm. Check fuses i'd say. the cluster has a fuse just for it. as do tail lights. My rev lights don't work on my 83. and it ain't the fuse, or bulbs.

gauge lights and taillights run on the same circuit. Check the fuse first. If it's not that then it's most likely either a poor connection under the dash or the headlight/wiper combo switch is faulty (an easy fix though. Usually just cleaning the contacts in the switch and possibly having to bend the contacts to make up for excessive wear).

Mine did the same thing after i removed my dash, it was in the four way hazards.

i have that happen to me when i start working on my car... check your connection, the one that goes into the collem in the back on the bottem.. i had a short to ground... and it fried up my connecter..
