1980/81? 280zx
P79 head

I am trying to remove the intake manifold and having some difficulties. I have removed the top 4 bolts along with all connecting parts, the manifold is lose but will not come off. Everything looks clear. Are there any attaching bolts on the bottom between the intake and exhaust manifold? If so, how do I get to them?

you have to remove the exast manifold bolts also. the two systems work together.

 

Get a rachet and a mid sized extension. Its a real bitch but it can be done. Its easiest when you are under the car and there is someone up above that can guide you. Also make sure you have a flashlight or something cause even in good light it can be hard to see the bolts.

 

Thanks guys, sounds like i'm going to have a load of fun doing this. Does anyone have a good picture of a P79 head with the intake and exahust ports exposed? I would like to get a general idea of the locations of the bolts.
