Granted it doesn't cost much more to add comp and collision on an older cheap car... but liability around here is expensive.
These days, at 30 years old and no tickets, I still pay about that much for full coverage on a 350Z.

Basically, it would not have mattered if I drove a 280ZX or a Datsun 210 wagon... still would have been $120/month. If I drove a TURBO z then that would have made a difference.
I called every company I could think of, and the cheapest I ended up with was $106 a month (some were much, much higher...). Also for only liability. Perfect driving record and it is a non turbo. I knew insurance is cheaper in some areas, and more expensive in others, but that is pretty crazy.
