I need a downpipe for my '83 turbo

I need a downpipe for my '83 turbo. I tried the dealers and they don't have it. Does anybody know of a aftermarket downpipe or someone that has the OEM one. Any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks

There's a guy on the hybridz forums that has a stock downpipe. His name is Proxalmus or something like that. He had 2 last I heard. I don't think there are any aftermarket downpipes made for the 280zxt. You could try to use the MSA downpipe (buy it straight from a guy named PeteZ on Cardomain) and try to hammer in the firewall so it will clear. If enough interest gets generated, there's a guy on hybridz named JeffP that can do another 3" downpipe run. Good luck, hope you can get a downpipe.

I thought that the Motorsport auto downpipe fits both the 240Z and 280ZX.

$300 for a downpipe... Can't you just have one custom made for half that price?

The MSA S30 downpipe will work for the S130, but you have to cut it, shorten it a titch, and reweld it.

I made mine for $25 in metal, $20 for a metal cutting hole saw, and about 4-6 hours of my time. Then I made another & sold it on ebay for $30 (not as pretty as mine).

Do like Nismo did and make one, its not that hard, just time consuming.

Mr Pick, did you make a steel downpipe or stainless?

I may just have a steel downpipe made and have the exhaust shop do the rest of the pipe at the same time. I could use a new muffler anyway. I think if I'm buying the pipe install and the muffler they won't charge much for a simple dowpipe and flange.

I have no welder. A friend of mine does, but he's real busy right now working on his 510. He's already done some rust repair on my Z recently. I hate to ask him for more welding work right now.

Normal steel mandrel pipe & hardened steel flange (which made for a fun time cutting a hole). Are you still using the stock n/a exhaust on yours Bleach?

the factory downpipe on my car connects to a 2.5" exhaust and flowmaster. Its not stock. Its just clamped together right now.
