High Idle & Surging

Just diagnosied to have a Bad BCDD Valve so you guys get the Prize of Knowledge & Know How..
After having 4 of these cars (and thought I pretty much knew the basic componet failures of these cars) I learned alot from you guys and my friend the ex Pro Domestic Mechanic ! Now to find one and I will install myself !

I think this is the issue im having with my 78 mine idles at 2000 then will randomly jump to 3000
Although sometimes it idles just fine, my car is very moody
Since i cant find a bcdd replacement anywhere i think im going to try blocking mine
