hesitation

Basically i'm starting to get really frustrated! I have a bad hesitation cause by cylinder #3. its fuel related.... I have spark and i have air and when the car is running the injector is ticking but its a faint very faint tick. it sounds way different than all the other cylinders. so i got a new never before used injector installed it and nothing. I thought maybe it was the wires that i replaced but i put $3 on the #2 injector and #2 still worked which means it isn't the ecu or the wire. We thought maybe something was blocking the injector port on the head so we pushed a rod into ever injector port and they're all the same..... What else could it be i'm getting so sick of retarded things not working and i'm tired of pulling my fuel rail that's like the millionth time! I need help!

It seems you have just eliminated the fuel related components, so could you have a sealing problem? Caused by a bad valve seal?

If you've got a valve thats not sealing in #3 it could produce the same problem. And i mean the valve sealing to its seat. Check the gap on that plug to make sure its correct also.

You can try pulling the plug wires one at a time while the engine is running to see if that cylinder makes less of a difference in the way the car runs than the other cylinders. If you raise the idle to around 2000rpm it will make the missing more noticeable as you do this.

i pulled plug # three and it made no difference. and if i had a sealing problem with #3 wouldn't the compression be lower than the other cylinders? that cylinder is actually 5 psi higher

You said u put #3 harness onto the #2 injector, but did u try it vice versa to eliminate the new injector as the problem? It may be new but that doesnt mean its good.

And you have verified that the #3 sparkplug (the actual plug) is firing?

ya the #3 plug is firing i did put #2 injector plug on # when i put # 3 on #2 so i know that all the wires work. i think what we'll do tomorrow is since we have the fuel rail off the car is just crank it over with the rail out but hooked up and make sure all 6 fire. if they do than i'm really stuck. i'll keep everyone posted!

Or if you really want to make sure, make the awesome Fuel Injector cleaner setup, with the fuel rail, a battery, a fuel pump, and a container of fuel/cleaner. Then that way you'll clean them, and make sure they're spraying correctly.

ok so i'm still not sure what the whole issue was, however we pulled the fuel rail cranked the car by hand to check the valves, than turned it over with the starter to watch the injectors spray and just like i thought all 6 sprayed. So my dad and I were kinda scratching our heads and he just told me put it together as much as you can right now and i'll get it down to nissan so they can look at it. knowing it would be expensive i put the car together, we cranked it over it started right up had a little miss as the fuel started going in the cylinders, i revved it up and i noticed a change.. hmm grabbed my screw driver and listened to all the injectors again and WTF they're all working. we didn't do anything and now they all work. so were thinking maybe there was air in the rail over #3 or something. I pulled out of the garage and romped the gas in the dirt and of course it kicked out. took it for a test drive around the block mjor difference except i almost lost both my t-tops Make sure ya'l latch em good before you go drivin! I stomped on it and it instantly revs above the previous 3500 it would always get stuck at. 4k 4.5k 5k 5.5k and at about 4.5k my 235's broke loose. ahhhh I love it i'm in such a good mood!!!!!!!!

put a block under the accelerator so you can only push it down so far
