Here Ya Go.

this is a quicktime movie my next door neighbor and I made today. It's pretty small, so the quality is not so great, I think it turned out pretty well though

280zx video

Later,
Jabo

Meaning he had less power at the tire than your car...

Thanks guys, this was our first attempt at making/editing any video, still working on how to keep the size down, but have a higher resolution. The full size (looks great!) is over 1.2 Gig. We would be here for ever trying to Upload/download...

Looks good .

Haven't decided yet. The blue/Silver scheme came from the factory, but former owner just had it repainted about a year ago. My hopes are (after some more important engine work) to buy the Aero Kit 2 off of MSA and paint it blue, then repaint all of the silver trim by the hood to blue, and try to find/buy an aftermarket hood. especially since I am starting my swap to an L28ET in a couple weeks. More or less wanted this video as a joke to see the shape my Z was in when I bought it as to compare it to the shape I HOPE for it to be in later on.

As for the Brake Light All in due time

Later,
Jabo

Just get the factory "turbo" hood and hold onto untill you repaint the car. Those look pretty good.

no, i think it was an even match as far as power, it was a fairly tuned honda motor ( 4 cylinder ) but he complained of tire quality difference

Hey Jabo that is a tight car! I am still wondering what color blue that is? Anyway cool video, it makes me miss driving my Z even more! But all in due time, but I think you should keep the current paint job, and add the Turbo hood!(the same color scheme) That is what my '82 has.(hood) Talk to you later!

Sweet man. I think the Turbo hood would be AWESOME on here. I was looking around HybridZ and some guy on there has a custom carbonfiber hood and he was getting ideas on who else would want one. I think it would be awesome. As far as I can tell for now, I dont think my N/A hood will do any damage to the turbo. Just having to take it one step at a time. I am totally stoked about my new engine though. Later bro

Cool vid man. Why don't you put some real action sequences in there tho. I've made some pretty cool videos with my friends but very little footage of my Z. We made the vids last summer when my Z had a blown engine. Hopefully I will get some cool videos soon with the new (3rd) motor in there. We should really start a video thread.

Exactly! a vid thread would be awesome, even if it's posts of ALL Z's together, or any racing clips. Check out tamparacing.com they have a video post on their board that is pretty sweet.

Yeah, we are working on a video with some downtown racing clips. I like night videos (after my swap) but for now doing mostly daytime stuff to get the full effect (the smoke adds a VERY nice touch ) It would be awesome if we could get everyone to start making videos

What engine are you putting in now?

I am putting in a modified L28. If you wanna see the whole setup just check out my cardomain page. The link is in my sig and it explains everything. Hopefully I will finish rebuilding the engine and get it in the car on Saturday. After a good break-in period I will take it out to the local strip where everyone cruises and get some good action shots. I have some okay vids that are kinda old, if someone can host them for me or tell me how to post them I would love to do it.

well ff cars have weaker acceleration compared to an fr because the weight of the car shifts to the rear tires when accelerating, so your friend will need better tires I believe
