Been workin on her for about 3 years, outside lookin pretty good, redoing all of interior with mods and upgrades. Gettin ready for cars shows this year. Just bought new stereo and DVD headrests for car.

But I do agree... remove those rice rocket fake fender vents.

As for the screens... If you are going to "techno" out the car, why not do one big screen? Headrests on a 2seater doesn't make sense.

 

Ok, I have a question for you about what you want of this car...

Do you want it to just attract the attention of judges who know nothing about your car and win some trophies that as I have seen go to the ricyest, most (over)done up cars in the show?

or... Do you want the self gratification of knowing what you have done to your car is what you personally want and is tasteful, graceful, and somewhat functional? ()

All of those cars are simple, clean, and not overdone, and if they are overdone it is usually due to one off parts that are highly functional. (except for that bosozoku style s130 haha)







But your car is beautiful where its is (minus the fake fender vents) Nice wheels, the body has been done very well, and its clean. But do alot of research and see whats out there before you start buying parts... I made that mistake, but I didn't make the chrome fender trim mistake.

the car is clean and i agree with everyone else on here... those fender vents are just killin your car... since you shaved the door handles you shoulda shaved your side markers and antenna as well... but other than that your car looks sweet... nice work

 

Ok, the fake fender vents are coming off. What if I shave the side markers and antenna, and add the 370Z side marker light close to where the vent thing is, but a little lower.

 

imo..it would look good down where the original 280zx emblem was or just a tad higher

 

What if I take off the 280zx logo too and just have the Z light there, even cleaner.

Agree with edz, the 370z light marker would look really cool where the 280zx emblem is at. Also if you don't want to do that then I say maybe find red markers or red lens for the side markers and that would be really nice. Or maybe both the 370z light marker but without the lights lighting up and the red side markers. what you think?

 

I just don't think the 370z emblem is going to look right with the style of the car, its something cool to say you did, but in reality everyone's thinking... "what a waste of time."

Agreed on removing vent, it'll be done by the weekend. As far as the side markers, I have LED bulbs in them. The back lights up red at night and the front is white instead of amber. Still not sure about the 370z emblem. Once I cut the hole in fender there is no going back. Oh, and thanx for all your comments. 2 heads are better than 1, and 3 than 2 and so on. I just want it to shine.

Is there any way you can take the light and stick it on and take some picks?? Maybe a poll too? I dunno just an idea.

 

Glad you're taking the criticism constructively. I think the emblem, if done right, would look good. Or maybe your own custom one in there so it's not so "new" looking.

 

dont put the 370Z emblem on... it just doesn't go with the car... thats just my opinion...
