when you connect the header 2 into the one is it required to weld it or can it just slide in and go

 

are you talking about the header collector?

 

yeah this was a horribly worded question. if you are talking about the collector, you are supposed to use exhaust clamps. just be careful not to tighten them to much and putting indentations in the pipes or you'll never get them apart.
