thanks zx guy... I landed up at the z store,,, went with the non turbo bolts.. nothing exciting... part numbers..10 5201..9 of them...10 5202..5 of them...about 75 bucks shipped. did manage to get the broke bolt out of the block.. and I had one in the head from the exhaust manifold.... got that out too. thanks for the links though, the ebay guy look like a good deal just didn't want to go with the turbo bolts.. im sure you would have to go with the turbo washers to.. being this is my first time doing a zx head is there any little tricks I need to know about...sealer on the head of the bolts or just lube??? maybe some sealer around some trouble spots on the head and block before I put the head gasket on???
let me know.....oh yeah the head looks good and straight didn't find any worpage on it.....

Pretty hard to warp a head on a 280. But my guess is that you couldn't detect it by eye anyway. A mech here used both sealer and gaskets on my Z31 but I have no experience with 280s. We spent a lot of time cleaning off the old gaskets and crap. Very clean surfaces were first.
It will be good to have new gasketing throughout so you can hit those higher RPMs without much worry. Not a smart thing to do on the original gaskets We live and learn.

Actually they are quite easy to warp, I know from experience. You get it hot just once, and it could warp and even crack on the spot. Make sure you measure and be positive that your head is not warped. It could cause you problems down the road. I would suggest taking it to a machine shop and make sure you are all right. Of course you can do it at home with the proper tools. Good luck man.

As far as I know, you shouldn't have to put any lube on there. Just make sure you torque down the bolts to specs. It will be in your book or manual. I don't want to say, because off the top of my head I can't quite remember the exact. I think it is between 55-65 foot lbs. But not quite sure. And you want to start low with the torque specs and slowly work your way up. I did mine a few times to be doubly sure. And I haven't had any problems since. Good luck man, and you are welcome. That is what we are here for.
