the dmv told me it was due end of oct... and then when he pulled me i went to look and it said a "9" on it... but i didnt know what that ment.. i thought it was just a number the dmv gives you.. hahaha..
Awe! Unfortunately, they call that "ignorance of the law" - not that you're ignorant, but that's the common terminology for it in the legal profession. "9" would mean September.
Go ahead and get your new tag immediately, and don't just pay the fine ... go to court and fight it! Tell the judge what your understanding was, and show him/her that you purchased a new tag within the timeframe you thought it expired. Sometimes you can get the citation dismissed, but you must purchase the new tag immediately in order to validate the judge's curiousity, cuz the citation was your "notice" that your tag is definitely expired!

you can't do that down here. The judge will just say." Well if you can't understand, and agree with everything one your plate. Don't Drive!" what they say. Down here We don't have Emmsision's and Smog tests, so they crack down on other part's of ppl car's. On way or another, they get you.
I've had my ZX for a little over 3 years. Of that time it was registered for a grand total of 4 months. I drove it 45 miles each way to and from school every day and also across town for work. I've NEVER been pulled over in my Z
I've gotten a ticket for one thing or another in pretty much every other car I've ever owned though
