Front end question...

Ok, I've recently noticed that if I pull on the top of BOTH my front wheels, it gives a *little* and knocks just a bit when it's done. Wondering if that means new bearings and seals or just has to do with rack & pinion steering on the ZX's???

Thanks,
Carl

Mine does the same thing ... I haven't noticed any unusual wear or adverse handling because of it. Probably just the steering

weird, i just fixed this stuff on mine today

easy way to find out whats wrong
if theres excessive play wiggle it while looking around inside the front end for what part is moving thats not supposed to.
look at the ball joint (directly underneath the strut cartridge,)
look at the tie rod ends (part of the rack and pinion)
check the bolts in the top of the strut tower too. pretty much everything
mine was fixed with the ball joint but i did tie rods anyway just for fun
hope that helps

Raise one side at a time, if the wheel rocks top to bottom it's most likely the wheel bearings. Have some one rock it while you observe the ball joints, if they don't move then it's the bearings. If it rocks side to side then it is your tie rod ends, you can see this also.
