Well here is the long drawn out story of why I am no longer getting the Evil Twin 280zx. I was talking to that guy from Washington about bringing it down here for me. He told me he would sell it to me for 1200. He said he was going to trust me enough so he took it off the market. No problem I said. We had been talking for about 2-3 weeks about the move. Never during that time did he mention a deposit on the car.

Then on Monday night he called me to tell me he was driving the car down on saterday and that I need to send him 600 in a cashiers check. I was going to think about it. I talked with my wife and we decided that we wanted to see the car first and why all of a sudden is he wanting money? I called him back to say that my wife wanted to see the car first to make sure it ran and did not have as many issues as my other Z. I also asked why he did not say anything about a deposit. Luckily I left a message on his phone.

Last night I got a call back from him and he was yelling and cussing at me saying that i was a scamer and i was trying to hussle him. I'll put it in a wav so ya'll can hear it. I think he was scamming me because of the way he reacted. If he really did want to sell me the car he would have worked something out with me don't you think??

 

He's definitely a scammer....otherwise he would have told you about the down payment up front. Definitely move on!

I think maybe there's more you're not telling us... maybe you had him believe you were definitely buying the car then suddenly you're saying you want to look at it first.

If you're not totally sure you're going to buy it sight unseen, then you fly out there and look at it.

 

Well I Told Him That I Would But That Was Because He Said He Did Not Require Any Money Down. I Told Him I Was Going To Spot Him A Few Hundred Extra When He Got Down Here For Expenses. He Was Not Going To Drive It Here He Works For A Trucking Company And They Were Having Him Come Down Here Witha Load Of What Ever He Transports. He Was Just Going To Toss It On The Truck. I Was Full Into Buying It Untill He Asked For Half Out Of The Blue.

I Was Sorta Getting Sceptical By The Way He Kept Saying That It Was Rust Free And Such But From The Pics He Sent Me It Looked Like It Had A Fair Amount Of Rust.
