Unhappy Engine runs rough after hot shutdown

I have been noticing that if I turn off my '81 280ZXT after it has been warmed up and start it back up again, it has a tendency to idle very rough. The problem goes away if I rev the engine up over 2000 rpm for a few seconds or let it run for a few minutes. Does anyone else have this problem and what is the solution? I suspect it may be in the ignition system, but not 100% sure.

does your engine have a blower motor on the right side of the block adjacent to the oil filter?
