sounds like the flasher switch or the relay. Take em out & check em. Relay shouldn't be more than a couple bucks. Check the switch for broken connections (especially solder points)

I would, but I'm at work. Have u thought about getting a repair manual... like Haynes or Chilton ? They help a lot!

There is only one flasher unit for both the turn signals and the hazard signals. As far as the second small clip goes though, I don't know what goes there, but it's not the flasher. Chances are since neither work that its gotta be one of the things that Nismo recommended. Check the switch (you can do this with a mulitmeter) and if that checks out all right then my recommendation would be to change the flasher (which you can also check with a DVM).

And on a side note, the reason that there is a second clamp attached to the first (if it's one piece) may be because it serves a purpose in another model of Nissan. I guarantee that Nissan didn't make a flasher clamp specifically for the Z. Of course there could be something that's supposed to got there, but it's not a second flasher for this car.

Well I am aware that the wiring lume can be substituted for a pintara one if necesary. But my hazards arn't working as of current but both indicators work. I know my problem and going to fix it today stupid 25 year old soldering. lol. I would check the wiring lume to see if there are any burnt contacts in it. My first one had that problem due to the old guy before me hot wiring the driving lights. Had to go and re-wire all the lights from the lume onwards.
