Door Chime

That little bell is so annoying. where is it? or the fuse for it or something where I can disable it. It's ringing nonstop, I can't take it for more than 3 minutes. I'm gonna rip it out.

Under the driver-side portion of the dash. Its a small ice cubed sized box with 1 or 2 wires leading to it. If i remember correctly, its mounted close to the steering column. Should be silver or bronze in color.

Its easier to unplug the wires that goto the keys that make it chime. Sense it only really chimes when your keys are in. or when the lights are left on w/o the car running.

I can hear it, it sounds like it mounted right above the courtesy light panel on the drivers side. I'll look for it

thank guys.

there shouldn't be a problem if I rip it out right?

It's ringing nonstop even w/ the key out and the doors shut? If so... you should probably find the cause, not just yank out the chime.

Have you checked the door pin switches?

When they make one that says "Excuse me sir, your Nitrous bottle is getting low", then I'll be interested.

I remember when my door lock froze and I couldn't shut my door. So I had to drive home on a nice cold winter night holding my driver's door. Luckily it was like a 5 minute drive, the whole while with the talking lady repeatedly telling me LEFT DOOR IS OPEN. After like 2 minutes I think insanity set in as for some reason I felt the need to yell at her "I KNOW! SHUTUP!"
