Couple of things.
Hey guys,
I own a 1982 280zx. At the moment the rear right suspension (assuming its suspension) is creaking a lot. I brought it into the mechanics, they fixed it but it's back again.
I'm thinking it just requires grease or something similar, but would like some advice. It creakes whenever the car moves up and down.
Also I'm getting a squeeking sound, external, happens intermittedly. stops for a bit when I tap the brakes, I think it maybe too much fuild in brake lines pressuring the pads onto the rotor a bitch. I just had a new master cylinder put in for it.
Any help would be great, thanks.

Two things I could think of on the creak. Maybe it is your sway bar bushing on the body of the car. Mine creak on the front only whe I go over a bump. Or, the brake pads could be making noise. Mine do at different times. They require some brake pad goop to make them stick to the calipers. It dries after a while. The pads are not designed as well as newer cars so they have some slop. (not that they will fall out)
The sqeak is probably a brake pad squeaking. It is not caused by too much fluid. Pads just do that some times. Chaning pad type or brand helps the most. maybe your rotors are warped... but you also may never get rid of the intermittened squeak. If it annoys you that much still, then you'll have to buy a late model car.

i agree with bleachZee... it sounds like worn out bushings and poor quality break pads... when you get your breaks done... get the rotors resurfaced and get some good pads and on top of that add a lil antisqueek to the back of the pads...

Just so you know, on my car I had some pads that squealed from day one. They squealed for a couple years untill I replaced them. They worked fine though.
Now i have good pads that are almost silent all the time. They tend to vibrate once in a while and only on the rear. Mostly the rear right. (strangely, I'm always having an issue with something on the rear right brakes or suspension)
I have to remove the pads and put on the antisqueal stuff twice a year to keep them quiet, but once I do I forget about it because they are perfect.
My wife's Altima never makes a sound. newer brake design I guess...
