Climate control light?

I have a 80 n/a, normal climate control.

does the unit have a light on it? at night I can not see the climate control area on the car at all. Its just a dark void.

I have removed the cover, but I can not find a place for a light. I have look every where I can think of, (fsm, Haynes ect.) but I'm not seeing a light. (or I'm not looking in the right place)

If someone knows here this light is, can you show me. I hate having to turn on the light to adjust the ac.

Thanks for the help.

There should be a backlight for the faceplate, but there is also a light on the bottom of the vent plate right at the top of the slider control faceplate.

Is this the part I remove to find the light for the slider control?---can not post photos from work.

Part Detail part 66590?

If that is correct, where is the light. I have removed that part, but did not see a bulb, or a wire for any kind of light.

I have not removed faceplate to look yet.

thanks
