Which one, the main one, or the 3 gauge one on the middle right side?

Two screws at the top, two screws at the bottom, two shims at the bottom, and the speedo cable. That's it.

Oh... and take off the steering wheel.

I figured the speedo cable was holding me up but for the life of me I can't reach it to unhook it.

Time to contort yourself.

Shove your arm up at the steering column and you can access the speedo cable connection. There are pics in the FSM if you haven't checked that yet.

Got it.

Ok you can reach up the steering colum to undo it but the easy way turns out to be that we have a 2pc cable & you can disconect it above the gas pedal.

OK new cluster in & now my speedo works but the gas guage does not GRRRRRR.

Now send it back or try & mix & match the two nothing is ever easy.

Oh & if you take the 2 bolts out that hold in the steering column you dont have to remove the steering wheel

The steering wheel is WAY easier to take off - one nut. Just loosen the nut off almost all the way and wiggle it back and forth with repeated jerks and it comes off quickly.... hmmm... maybe I should re-word that....

Try reseating the connectors. The digital dash has the worst connectors on the back....

Ok I tore them both apart & was able to make one 100% working cluster

I can now tell how fast I am going and know If I am going to run out of gas

I also was able to figure the bad part of my cluster .

Ok to start I will say everything in my car worked other then the speedo. The
Odometer worked so I knew the cable was good so has to be something in the cluster.

OK so here is my bad part this little black sensor. It's job is to read how fast this little wheel spins & then send that to the speedometer.

So looks like mine was not reading anything & so I got no readout.

Problem with the new cluster was the fuel gauge did not work so I figure swap the fuel gauge nope that was not the problem the problem was somewhere in here

anyway that is about as geeky I get.
Everything was plug & play so worth the hassle to have learned a little.

nest step is to figure out how to modify the little wheel so I can set it to Km nut have it read MPH

I found a writeup somewhere on how to do it but am shooting blanks on finding it. If anyone has a link to it I would appriciate it.
