I was getting ready to start putting my head back together, and I noticed that the camshaft journals have scoring, and there are also knicks in the towers as well

Just went ahead and took it to the machine shop, they're going to go ahead and grind the main journals and rod down to .25 under

as far as the camshaft, the guy said just to take some scotchbrite and rub all the surfaces down, as the cam isn't too bad, it just looks bad lol, I need to take it to work, brake clean it, clean it up real good, etc.

 

So now I've got a perfectly unused set of Standard size Rod and Main Bearings for sale.

 

Lesson numero uno, don't go buying all your parts before you get word from the machine shop.

I'm aware now. This is the last speedbump in the way towards my car getting done

And my card getting rejected at the autoparts store, so I only made away with the front brake calipers
