It rained this morning and my phone wasn't working so, I stopped by work but nobody was there because of said rain. I came home and messed around for a little bit then went out to the garage and started working on a block off plate for the egr valve. well i didn't start working on it first, actually i just took off the egr and cut the studs since they wouldn't come off all without having a plan or alternate form of transportation if i failed.

so, i took off the egr and cut the studs, then i looked around the garage awhile until i found something to cut a piece of aluminum with. turns out my only option was a drill with a cut off wheel attached to a bolt lol but hey it worked. then i used one of those scuff wheels or whatever those hard plastic wheels with all the holes in them are, anyways, i used one of those to smooth out the edges and give the face a nice finish.

since the studs were stuck in place and i had to twist them and brake them off, i went ahead and drilled all the way through the manifold so that i could use a bolt and nut, at this point i could still remove it and thread the hole for some type of bolt to make it look nicer.

i found some carriage bolts that worked nicely though, put on some high temp rtv sealant and bolted it down. looks so much cleaner now.

i also put on the new front brake hoses today but, my brakes are still soft. car has good brakes in the back, new rotors, pads, and hoses up front, new master cylinder, flushed system. it's just a bitch

my ultimate goal is to get the engine bay as easy to work on as possible and it seems to be getting that way especially when i order the pallnet fuel rail

the tally now is;
100% a/c parts removed
auxilary fan removed
accessory light removed
windshield washer parts removed
various little things too

unfortunately it looks like i'll need a turbo motor with lots of goodies or a LT1 or LS1 to even make this car relatively fast but, when Im around STIs, EVOs, TT Supras, and V8 RX7s all the time Im bound to feel slow.
