burning oil and running rich

I have a79 280zx tha was making a grinding noise in the fule pump. Afte I replaced the pump it now runs rich and I believe it is burning oil as well. Was wondering if anyone knows some quick fixes. Or has delt with this. There was no smoke before I change the pump but now when I stick my hand by the tail pipe it takes just a few seconds to turn my hand black. I can also smell fuel too. I haven't done a compression test but will shortly. Also its running extreamly rough at higher rpms (above 2500)

When you replace a part then instantly have an issue we know what happened here. . . . . . Either you have way too much pressure or something got knocked loose in the tank or lines. . . . . Maybe a peice of crap left the filter and got stuck in the injector. . . . Check fuel pressure. . . . Then go one by one and unplug an injector and see if the smokeing stops. . .. burning oil is result of either bad ring seals or the seals on the valve stem. . . . Which a fuel pump has nothing to do with! So if its oil you were burning it before

I flushed the tank and lines when I replaced the old pump. Had a lot of black debris come out of the lines when i took off the old pump. I also replaced the filter as it was needed to get the warranty on the pump. I'm going to look at the pressure regulator and damper. I' also guessing that the leak may be due to the valve seals or guides due to the fact that things are worse for about the first five minutes of driving. meaning my cylinders are filling with oil after shut down.

My best guess... Nothing wrong with the new pump. New filter always helps! However, might wanna check the valves if you're burning oil.
