Owww, I feel your pain. On the bright side it does look repairable.

Yeah, the sugar scoop is gone, which pulled through the fender holes. I beat the hood a bit back into shape, so it looks better.

I was pulling out after work to a street that is within our parking lot. This guy in a Toyota Tacoma decided he needed to whip around a corner and drive well above the parkinglot speed limit as I was nosing out. Naturally, insurance finds me at fault because I can't prove how fast he was going and its on private property. (lot is owned by Costco with multiple businesses using it). No whitnesses stuck around for more than a quick "is everyone ok?"

You didn't call the police? Take pics of the accident scene w/ your phone?

I did, and they showed up, but because it was private property, he said that there would be no police report.

That's crazy. Someone damages your property to the tune of a couple thousand dollars and the police won't file a report?

Sad

So sorry to see this Murphy, I too feel your pain, as I still haven't got one of my Z's back on the road after my accident. At least your's wasn't totaled. Looks very fixable. How does it look under the hood ?

Under the hood is alright, nothing got pushed back. Around the hood latch is dented up a bit, and now I have to slam the hood for it to close correctly, even after adjusting everything. The spot welds on the tabs that the hood hinge mounts to have all pulled through. Guess I'll have to spend some cash on a cheap welder from harbor freight.

Actually, the door has never aligned correctly. They were replaced before I bought her, which was obviousby the different type of black that they were. Other than that, I'm sure that she's a bit crooked, or at least needs an alignment (has for a while, but oddly she pulls less towards the drivers side now, maybe the accident did -some- good, lmao! Other than that, the front passenger frame, where it juts out past the rad. Support is tweeked a little bit. Just enough to make things interesting.

And no, no death to all Tacomas, my pops drives one and I hope to use it to transport my hood here shortly, as well as my bike (which I'm going to sell to get my zx the way that I want her). I also live near a rather big city named Tacoma, which would be pretty bad, considering I drive through it to get to my pop's house. Lmao!

Anyways, sucks to have to sell one of my toys, especially one that I've worked wo hard on, but I'd rather keep the zx than the bike.

You guys have some insane rules. Cops would have done a report on that in a parking lot or on the street - doesn't matter.

^^^ Indeed... if you shoot someone on private property, the police still come.
