Hi Everyone,

I'm curious to know if anyone knows why the Auto UP/Down switch was eliminated by Nissan? My experience has been that when I see S130 ZX's at the wrecking yards the 79 models have this 3 toggle switch, while 80-83 I have never seen this switch installed. Does anyone know if 79 was the only year for this window switch?

No idea why the engineers stopped using the auto switch. It's common on almost all cars these days, but I guess they either got negative feedback, or there were other complications. The first model year of every car has it's quirks and unique features.
