My 80's 280zx previous owner did some of his own work on the A/C compressor; unfortuanetly it doesn't work after this work was done. Infact it needs another compressor.
I was checking inventory of the local pick n pulls to see if they might have something I could snag. Are all the compressors interchangeable? Would one from a turbo work on a N/A car? I guess the question is, which cars would have the same one and which wouldn't. I've seen on E-bay a couple times compressors going for an 81-83 (I think) ZX, but not 80. So thats kinda what threw the wrench into my plan.

I was under the impression that they were all the same. Don't see why they would change parts from year to year.

 

Cool, I didn't either; it seemed kinda pointless. But this is my first car besides my 65. Which is just a mess of cross-over parts. So I just wanted to make sure.
