Aftermarket Bumper Swap

Hey,
We are in the middle of putting on new bumpers on a 1983 280zx. We had to decompress the bumper shocks to get them to retract so the new bumoers would fit. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RECHARGE THE BUMPER SHOCKS IN A NEW POSITION? I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!!!! THANKS

You don't...just drill a hole through the outter and inner tubes and install a bolt through them...they are now STATIC... so much for 5mph bumpers on your car...(mine and alot of other people's too)...
