Re: 83 turbo zx convertible
Hi Mark:
I am looking for the turbo mtor and everyhing that goes with it, ie, fuel pump, ECU, wiring harness, turbo, AFM, etc. I don't need the whole car, but it would be optimal so I can see, hear and test the engine. Btw, how many miles on the turbo? I want to put the motor and related parts into my 73 240z.
Depending on the milage, I planned to spend between $500 - $1000 for a motor and accessories. What's your take on this?
Eric

Re: 83 turbo zx convertible
Hi Mark:
Unless you have a swapped differential, your zxt has the stock 3.545 R200 (not LSD). Limited slip was not offered until 04/87 on turbos. I already have everything (including an 83 5-speed and a 3.7 LSD) for my car except the turbo motor, wiring, and stuff to complete the motor swap.
How many miles on the motor? I need to know in order to make a decision. Is the car running now, and where is it located? Arizona? Will it make the trip to Sacramento? If the motor is in good shape, would you run a compression check on it?
Please let me know, its' a long drive to Arizona.

Sorry, I'm also dealing with a guy form Arizona. Re-read your original post - you are in California. Where in CA? Send e-mail to x2ego@yahoo.com then we can get in touch per phone.
