The guy I bought it from said It had a vtech moter which from what read is like a form of turbo or nos because the way it kicks in. But my vtech must be broken cause I don't really feel it or nothin. I looked in the engine compartment and wasn't sure were the vtech was?? Does some one have a picture of what my vtech should look like.
I don't see why you guys have to make front of me!! I bet my Civic will beat your little eclipse because I have quite a bit into my car and I can keep up with a Lancer. So we need to race. Plus Honda builds the best motors ever, have you heard of something called VTECH?? and plus I bet I can get a better take off then you. RWD sucks for take off.
2003 Honda Civic
1989 Honda CRX- soon to have vtech motar

this guy has made my day.

No the first guy wasn't retarded. He was just ignorantly clueless and was only out to make his car look good.

Now this guy, WOW. Now THIS guy is a retard. But hey, you know being retarded is a statistic which means this guy is not alone in the world. So now when you see a certain people in their Civics who are willing to rev on just about anybody, you know why. Cause it's probably that guy or someone just like him. Its not punk ricers looking to show off and prove how fast their Hondas are. No, no. It's just a retard whos parents gave him a car and some money for not flunking out of secondary school. So this thread should be retitled, "The new biggest retard".

Retarded people should be put into a concentration camp where they can be put to work doing mindless tasks that better our ways of life. And I'm not talking about the mentally challenged people like you see shopping in groups at the mall. No, those people cant help how they are. I'm talking about the people that make themselves retards by not educating their retard asses before they take action doing something they know nothing about. I'm done

I blame everything on THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. I hate that someone made our way of life mainstream. It is the new cool. It sucks. Now everyone wants to do it. It sucks

And the worst part is they portrayed the scene so badly that it left a sour impression of the scene as a whole. Plus theres the fact that they screwed just about every technical aspect of that movie up so much that they make people like mr. Retarded there look like he knows what he's talking about. I know they were just trying to sell entertainment but they tried to hard to dig into the scene and screwed it up in the name of entertainment. The second movie was, IMO, a better film cause it wasn't as focused on screwing the image of our scene up. It was more of an action film with a storyline not so based on street racing and the import scene. Rather, the cars were sort of a side show in that movie. Of course the producers were still a little off when it came to picking the cars. The Skyline and EVO were alright, but the Eclipse as a main car? Come on now, and a purple convertible to top it off I hope the 3rd one can finally get it right though by using sick cars and getting everything right while still remaining entertaining. And for godsake, can we get someone besides Paul Walker to star in one of these things

I also hate that movie, I think it has pretty much destroyed most of the car scene, specifically imports. Now there are about 20 kids at my school who think there car is from the fast & the furious. Mostly auto neons and cavaliers with fart cans and bodykits!! And that 3g Purple Eclipse in the movie, they made it sound like it had a turbo. The only problem with that is it was supercharged, I know this for a fact!!

I don't know if anyone has seen it but there is a movie out on DVD called THE LAST RACE, you can download on something like limewire or Kazza. It's only about 30min long but I have to say it is pretty realistic, atleast compared to F&F. Instead of "10 second cars" this movie has 12 and 13sec cars. Much more realistic. And J, I will rename the thread.

first fast and they furious...actualyl in my opinion is decent...to much plot line and **** though...but if u go and actualyl watch it..they made it realistic and have alot of nissans and really good cars..the second one is where it got "retarded" nissan skyline awsome..but then they jazzed everything upp and jumped a ****in bridge...and the nitrous and that movie shoud never have met.....but anyways...concentraition camp??? slow down there....now i have to go read that. and hondas can be fast, v-tech plus turbos = a fun kick int he pants. i only know cuase of a buddies turbo gsr integra.

First one was as far from realistic as it gets. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that they TRIED to make it realistic, and failed. With the second movie it didn't seem like they were trying to make the movie realistic. It seemed more like they were just trying to make an intertaining movie. There werent so many technical errors to nit pic. And every good car movie has an unreal jump scene like that. IT's just entertainment. And yeah, Hondas can be fast. The problem is that every punk who's slapped an exhaust on their Honda thinks it's fast cause they've got VTEC (V-tech is an electronics company by the way ) Now I'm not saying that all Honda drivers are punks either. But MOST Civics ARE sloewr than hell, even with a fair amount of upgrades. There's just not much power to be had from minor upgrades with those motors. Honda did it's homework. Problem is that they put the most technologically advanced lawn mower engine in the world inside a 2700lb car and sold it for the price of a John Deer. Which would you pick? That's what every one else thought and so now the streets are plagued with "ricer" Hondas (again, they're not all rice). Now we see the same thing happening with the 240SX. Atleast that car has a lot more potential then the Civic ever did. Of course seeing everyone and their grandmother driving one is why I got rid of mine. I loved that car when I was the only one of my friends to have one (or even want one at the time). Next thing you know Drifing is the new big thing and everyone went out and got a 240SX or an old school Corolla. A car that the week before you'd be made fun of for driving was now cool and driving a Civic was now just Ricey cause it was FWD. That's why I got my Z. With the exception of Z31's and newer, you don't see too many Z's in most areas. The 280zx's days of being "trendy" have come and gone. Now it's just cool

J it's worse than that. They expossed our world to people that have no right to see what we are doing. In 96' if your Civic had cut springs, and a exhaust, it was hooked up. The racers, the real racers figured out how to make these cars fast. Now any one with a checkbook can make there car fast. My grandfather was street racing in the 50' and 60's, My father was doing it in 70's and 80's. The first place I went when I turned 16 and got my liscence, was the street races. I went in my first car, 87 GNX. Then it was still a back street thing. Only those that knew cars went there. Now everyone goes because it is cool. And they brought so much heat with em. You can't even stomp on your car, without getting a ticket or worse. Before that movie the races were only 10 to 15 cars, now it is times 10 and populated by people who don't even know what an intake manifold is. But they know a 100 shot of naws can blow the welds on it. I don't even try to race my car anymore. It is so bad. When my car was running, right before my rear turbo went. A guy, atleast 25 or so, judging by his looks. Revved his CRX at me. I rolled the window down. He asked if I wanted to run. I asked him what he was running, he said B-16 all motor. I laughed and reved so he could hear the blow off. He said that was okay if I'm turbo, since my car is a fat pig compared to his. I could not stop laughing. He just drove away all mad. It would not even be worth the wear on my clutch to race him. But he don't know that. That is the true problem with our scene today. To much hype and not enough knowledge

I get that crap all the time. Since I have been driving my Mom's Eclipse lately(I am always working on my car) All these people are always trying to race me(maybe since the same type of car was in 2F2F). And it's just stupid, For example I was leaving school the other day and this POS Neon with a big muffler started revving up his car behind and trying to get me to race and it's not even worth. Not that the eclipse is fast, it's actually really damn slow considering its a 3.0 V6 but I am not very worried about Neons and most civics.

I LIKE TO PLAY CHASE THE HONDA THROUGH CORNERS IN MY Z. PUSH THEM UNTIL THEY SLIDE AND SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF THEM, THEN THEY PULL OVER AND TRY AND KEEP UP.

yeah i forgot to mention in my last post about how they did bring way to many people into the sports car wanna be scene and crap. all these kids now want to buy all these sports cars with daddies money and i watched as all the sport compact car prices shot up, mainly manual cars when manual should be cheaper by factory standards. but yeah chase the honda is fun. there always in groups to all old hatch bakcs and the DX and CX's with xhaust and an intake. what is with honda owners and reving up there engines. every honda owner with an exhaust and or intake does it, i swear to god. even the ones that actaully have built cars. when i was at battle of the import there were so many all motor hondas there wiht drag slicks, they ran like mid high 14's which is good for all motor honda, i suppose, but they all just reevd the crap out of there engines in the staging lanes and they sound like sh*t. rev the engine must be in the owners manual or soemthing. and the fast and the furious 3 is an all new director again, and when i was workin at a movie theater i got the inside on when it comes out...this summer, mid sumemr like june or july i believe.

Just downloaded and watched that Last Race movie. Never seen that one before though I had heard about it. Considering the era when it was made I'd say it's alot better in a technical aspect compared to the main stream flicks. Sure the acting was crap but hey, it held true to the street racing scene of the time.

I have to agree that the acting was pretty lame but it was fairly realistic movie. And I was bored the other day so I did some research on 3fast 3furious. It looks like that mustang is going to be the star car. I guess it is suppose to be another sequel to the 1st one but it goes on to tell about Dom(vin Desiel) and it takes place in Tokyo. It is suppose to be all about drifting!! So if you thought drifting was already too mainstream, well this is really going to ruin it.

HAHAHA!! That's because the 25 ft/lbs of torque they make only comes on at 7500 rpm!

This is so true it's just too damn funny. Does anyone remember the automatic CX hatchback that was on Craigslist a few months ago?

Probably had $20,000 in body kit work with an all stock 1.5L automaticcar. That thing weighed so much from the body kit, paint and interior, I'd be surprised if it could make 0 to 60 before I die of old age!

Yeah that was one thing I always hated about driving my smaller cars like my Prizm or Escort. I had to rev it just to get it to move off the line. And since the Prizm had an exhaust leak and the Escort had an aftermarket exhaust, it always sounded like I was revving on people when I would move from a stop. The only time I didn't have to do this was when I facing down hill or didn't mind the lag while waiting for the engine to hit its power band. And neither one of those cars was nearly as bad as the smaller Honda motors in regards to torque. But when they' start revving their damn motors well before the light turns green, thats when you know to just smile and watch them make asses of them selves.

I've seen some quick Civics at tracks. But on the street, I've yet to come across anything but a late model Si that even came close to taking my Z. I've lost to a Type S (RSX) and had an NSX toy with me for a small stretch before showing me the taillights, but never to a Civic or even an old school Integra. Neither one held a candlestick to my Z, and it's pretty mildly modified

Shady, that's a good one. I love sleepers. That is like my all time favorite car. I only helped build it. A 4g63 turbo out of a 1st gen eclipse in a Dodge colt. Same as a Mitsubishi Mirage. Engine and tranny mounts were the exact same as a Eclipse. 18 or 19 hundred pound car with 2oo something horses. At 80 plus the car would shake and be very un stable. Best 400 $ auto. If I ever find another Colt or Mirage for sale, I'll buy it. From 0 to 80 nothing could touch it. That car was a beast, no power steering, no air, brakes that you could stand on and still go 15 miles a hour. To bad it only lasted 2 weeks. No plates or registration, no title, no insurance. LVPD impounded it, and we had no way to get it out. The street races used to be in front of a shop that I worked for, and it was a shop car, used to just embaress people. Brought out only on Friday or Saturday nights.
