2 door vs 2+2 parts compatibility?

i'm picking up a running parts 280zx tomorrow for 500 bucks. i called the seller today for the VIN so I could get insurance on it and he just now mentioned that it's a 2+2. what are the differences between the 2? i really just needed some front end pieces, but was hoping to use a few other random parts depending on what's good on it. i was hoping to use the hatch door since mine has rusting holes from where louvers were mounted. i was also thinking about using the driver's door since mine has a little rust on it. both of those seem out of the question now. what will fit and what won't? is there anything better on the 2+2 than the 2 door?

Brake line

The Brake line going from the front of the car to the rear is differnt. 2+2 is a bit more longer than the 2 seater.

Ya, the seller made a bad mistake not telling you it is a 2+2. For $500 I would say not to get it. that's not a super cheap parts car and the doors and hatch will be of no use to you.

You can use the rear tail lights, brakes, engine/transmission, dash; but you may not need all that.

i picked it up on saturday. i'm pretty happy with the condition of it, made the 4 hour drive back home with no problems. it actually seems to be in better shape than my car, so i might actually base off of this new one body is good, little rust, engine sounds better than mine(no tick), plus it's a ttops and mine isn't. interior was pulled out in an attempt to "restore" it(really meaning: paint everything with black krylon) and nothing behind the driver's seat has been connected back(it's all there though).

other problems: cat is gutted- backfires a little if i'm on the gas and then take my foot off. had to drive with NO tags on the windshield(not even expired ones). also, i got it back home, moved it the next morning to work on it, and now it won't start again. it turns over, just doesn't start. before this happened, it had to give it a little gas to get it going, but that doesn't help it now. was told that it had a brand new starter. ideas on where to start?

overall, i think it was worth it if only it started up again, hehe.

Team caffeine,

If you are gonna take the 2+2 to parting it out, could you please sell me the passenger side door window?

Regards,

Diego
