1982 280zx Turbo
I have leaking turbo lines. I have been looking at Rock Auto for the Hayden will Cooler lines. My question is will these work. My 280zx is stock and trying to keep it as close as possible. Can somebody offer some insight. Also looking for the plastic tee used for the headlight pump to clean them. I have only seen one other 280zx with this feature. Nissan says it was not available. Also, looking for if anyone has done a dash cap or just replaced the dash. Mine is cracking pretty bad. Hopefully somebody can be of assistance. Thanks for helping.
If it turns out to be too pricey, ask them to tell you the size and threads you need, and order online.
Lots of people have... the advice most people give is: don't go overboard on the glue.
Thanks for the insight
Stock connections are "banjo fittings" at the engine block oil sandwich plate and compression fittings at the oil cooler. I would personally just take the leaking hoses to an industrial hose supply warehouse and ask them to either repair the leaks, or fabricate you replacements. Here in Salt Lake City we have a huge supplier called "EVCO House of Hose", which can make or repair virtually anything related to hoses, fittings, and connections.

So, does the new hoses have to keep the current connections that have the long tube? Sorry, I am not very familiar with this. I only need the 2 long ones under the evaporator canister. The Hayden retrofit would not only use 2 hoses and it comes with a new oil cooler and new oil filter adaptor. My concern is going from 4 hoses to 2. Will that effect the turbo?
Most all 82-83 ZX's had the headlight washers. Are you looking for just the washer fluid line T where they split left & right? Any parts store will have that as a "vaccum line T".
I need the plastic tee with that is in the bumper. It has check valves on both the right and left to keep the water from leaking out. Nissan says the cars did not come with this option.

You might need to do some trimming if the orig dash cracks are starting to curve up. Do a search, people have discussed this before.
The dash caps are tricky, as you need a pretty smooth dash to work with. My dash is so badly cracked and warped with uneveness that it looked gawdy and terrible so I took it back off and put a dashmat on. If you have a dashboard that is pretty even and such it might work. Oh I never used the glue as I was retofitting it. Good thing that I didn't use the glue. lol
