Alright, here's the deal. I have this zx, and whenever I turn on the lights they turn onto brights. And I cannot get them to turn off to regular lights, occassionally it will work but 95% of the time they stay on brights, even if I turn on my blinker it goes back to brights. I keep getting pulled over for brighting the cops and I don't know what to do! They do'nt believe me that it's my car. Help! What could be the problem?

 

Pull or push the indicator switch. That makes them "dip" for high beam to beam or visa versa..

 

Oh, about 10-years ago or more I had a similar problem. My ZX would all of a sudden turn on the high beams when I was driving around at night. Since it was so long ago, I cannot remember what it was that caused it. But I took the car into the shop and they replaced some part that I think was in or near the steering column and it was fixed.

 

Alright, thanks you guys. I think that I'll just end up taking it into the shop then. Because the blinker lever doesn't really have any affect on them anymore, I can flip it back and forth repettitively and nothing will happen. I can even turn my bright on and then "off" and it won't work. So the shop it is. Thanks!
