i miss my car, haven't been able to drive it in 24 hours and i feel disconnected from it already. yesterday i was driving down a long stretch going 2000rpm in 4th (spedo is broken), when suddenly my car just cut out and stalled. . . this guy was riding my *** but, i managed to pull over gently and immediately i was really pissed off because my older brother had just worked on my car a bit and i thought he had done something to it just to mess with me, . . . lah de dah after hours of searching through wires with a power probe, we (and by we i mean my brother) found out that the fuel pump was dead. . . . so great, funny thing is i wasn't mad at the car i was mad at everything but, the car, i love that car it starts up every morning and gets me where i need to go. . .. i have more respect for that hard working car than i do for several friends of mine. . .. . . anyway i went to the junkyard and pulled a rather new fuel pump out of a 1984 maxima, (which are RWD i didn't know this, sounds like a good sleeper) and tomorrow that baby is going in. . . . and the most reliable girl i've ever known will be back on the road. . . . i think the car was mad because i let someone else work on her. . . never done that before. . . sorry about the rant but, i warned you

 

who said cars dont have feelings??? i love my Z and she loves me back.. just gotta give em alil tender love evry now n then and keep the fluids changed.. and yes i will not let anyone work on my car without my presence...

 

I think I'm starting to fall for mine, I've had it less then a week and am just crazy..Only bad thing is, I don't have a title for it right now, which sucksss can't drive legally.

 

You'll get there man, patience is the key. It is worth waiting for, believe me. I haven't been able to drive my Z since July or August of last year! Ughh! I can't wait to get out of debt, and pour money into my Bluestreak! Yes that is his name, just like the Diaclone toy! Anyway sorry about my rambling!

 

UPDATE: car is fixed, runs better, sounds, better, idles better,than before, and i feel better. new fuel pump is louder than original but, also performs much better. . . . . haven't taken her out on the road again yet but, im ready to hunt down some prey, hopefully the intake line going to the pump doesn't pop off because it isn't on too far. . . but, it's clamped down pretty good
