Needs some help...
First off here's a little info about my Z.. It's a '80 280zx (non turbo) that I bought a few weeks ago. It had been sitting in a garage for about 2 years before I got it. So far I've changed the oil, plugs, fuel filter, injectors, & coil. None of the things I've done have had any effect on my problem..
Now for my problem.... The cars starts fine & runs great, but sometimes when I stop at a light the car just dies.. It doesn't seem to be a fuel problem since it doesn't sputter or anything, it just dies like if you turned the key off.. Usually it will start again after a about a minute, but sometimes it takes longer.. A couple days ago it died & wouldn't start.. I sat for an hour waiting for a friend to come get me (trying to start the car every 10 minutes or so).. We towed the car home & it started fine when we got here.. It's really aggravating & I don't have a clue where to start.. Any ideas of what I should check or look for??

Heat can make electronic components fail intermitantly. It could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter. Do the easy stuff first. You could take it to the Nissan dealer and have them dianose the problem and tell them you are trying to decide whether to keep the car or not. They will charge you what may seem to be alot but at least they have the luxury of putting a part back on the shelf. If it's the ECU you can tell them you don't want to spend that much and pay only for the diagnosis. Everything you need is available at the junk yards or on ebay.
