JTR aluminum radiators

Hi there, just curious if anyone has used or is using a JTR aluminum radiator in their 280ZX turbo? If so, was their any problems you came across putting one in? Thanks for the help in advance.

lww has one. He can tell you all about it.
If i remember correctly, the only thing about those JTR's is that you have to relocate the AFM to make room for the new upper hose, but thats it.

I got one.. I love it I had already bought a MSA electric fan, but wish I coulda bought the JTR instead.. It flows more CFM and looks perfect with the radiator But running temp stats cool at idle I never hit the F* it always stayed to the left after I got the radiator

s/cL3.0: Cool, so you had no problem installing the radiator in your turbo L6? My question I had in my head was having to reposition the AFM. On his site he had installed it on a N/A car. I talked to Mike over there at JTR and he wasn't sure if I would have any problem installing it in a turbo car. He was fully confident the radiator would fit in the car just wasn't sure about the AFM placement. That was my main concern.

So the JTR electric cooling fan is good as well? Yeah, cuz that my next thing I'm looking into and have be reading all the comments about that subject in this forums and other forums out there. Any more info any one can shed on that subject would be greatly appreicated. Thanks again.

Yeah when I got it it said in the instuctions you have to "move" the AFM thats something I didn't have to do it fit just perfect.. I had a good 1/8th of an in. of clearance Ever since I installed my JTR the temp needle never went past the F*.. And remem. I live in AZ and it got up to 115* before I parked it due to the head gasket prob.

Damn, good deal. Yeah I live in Texas...it's gets pretty hot over here 100 degree with close to 100 percent humidity. I lived in Tucson before...and damn it can get pretty hot it was 110 one time I was there. But you know what they say..."it's a dry heat". To me heat is heat, man, no matter what form it is. Thanks for the help. You wouldn't by chance have pictures of your radiator installed. If not that's okay.
