Ipod input to OEM stereo
Ipod input to OEM stereo
Hi All - I've done some searching, but have not found the info I'm looking for. Has anyone used the input from the tape deck to the stereo as an aux input? If so, which wires are used? 1983 280ZX GL
Thanks!
Thanks!
Sorry to burst your bubble... but 80's stock car stereos weren't made for AUX inputs. That's why they invented the FM transmitter for the iPod. I doubt you'd ever get the tape deck input to work... but you could try.
Thanks Nismo - I know they were not made with aux inputs, but there has to be a low-level input to the stereo from the tape deck. I am going to try to use that. Probably a lame idea, but it could be fun to try. We will eventually add an aftermarket unit, but I like the look of the original unit.
I appreciate the reply!

Speed arent there like 6 wires comming from the tape deck? ones probly power the other ground, the other 4 are your buissiness wires for hooking up you ipod, you just need an old set of head phones, cut the haedphones off and source Left and Right, + and - wala!
sorry if thats wrong about the wires but hey i gave it shot...
