I'm going to redo that write up and with plenty of pics. Well since I'm out of stuff to do around here maybe I'll just get on that right now.

The easiest place to mess up is on the carbon track. If it's misaligned by even a little bit then the swiper arm will come off track at some point and break the reading. Make sure thats correct. And when I say a little bit I'm talking less than a mm. Other than that check the connector I guess there is always the chance that something inside the AFM got damaged while it was opened. This mod is easy but you have to be precise.

k guys i found the problem theres 0 compression in two cylinders and one is really low so its runnin pretty much on two or three cyliners (no wonder why its runnin so shitty) so im gonna tear the head off and when i bought the car the dude said the head was cracked and i could go get it welded up but that would take some time and money so i was just wonderin if someone had a p90head for sale

you coul always go with a better head, i went with a n47 that was converted to spray bar rather them internally oiled.

an n47 head is better than a p90? i thought the p90 was better? so the n47will work on an 82 turbo and if it does what do i need to change over? the manifold too? i thought n47 was non turbo

As far as I know the P-90 is Turbo, and the N-47 is non-turbo. From what I have read on here.

The P90 is the best flowing head. Some of the earlier S30 guys dont care for it cause of it's big combustion chamber but as for your turbo motor it doesn't get any better than the p90. But then again, any of the other heads are better than a cracked P90. Are you sure the head is cracked? Or was that just an assumption that was made by the previous owner? If the head gasket blew that doesn't neccessariy mean the head is cracked. Good luck in your quest to find a P90 head though. They're not the easiest heads to get a hold of.

Oh and the P90 and P90A heads were the only heads offered on the turbo engines. Any other head came on a NA motor.

Most likely it's just a blown head gasket as a result of a warped head.

It's highly unlikely the head is actually cracked. If it is warped and it's not too far out of spec, you can have it shaved to flatten the surface. You should have both the top and bottom shaved and you may have to shim the cam towers to keep the timing chain tension/geometry correct.

If whomever you have work on the head doesn't shave both the top and bottom and doesn't torque the head down during the operation, take it somewhere else. These aren't Detroit heads and it takes someone familiar with the L6 series motors to do the job correctly. I've seen more heads ruined by 'Performance' machinists than I care to remember...

Well a P90 head just went listed on ebay. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/VERY-RARE-NISSAN...QQcmdZViewItem

And it's starting at only $29.99.

Well, it definitely needs cleaned up and it looks like it's already been shaved once, so I'd be a little leary of it. But, if you can get it for a reasonable price, less the cost of the refresh, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, most of these on eBay have the perception of pure gold and seem to sell as if they were worth their weight in the shiny yellow substance...

I didn't even bother to read the description. I just saw it and copied the link for this thread.
