Oh no, that engine will really breathe good. It'll **** alot of people off, but that doesn't really say much until you pull up to a chainsaw rice-burner. Sure, run a straight pipe. However, your low end power (torque) will be diminished somewhat but that will be more than compensated for in high rpm horsepower. Go ahead and do it and scare the old ladies and soccer moms.

I think it'll get old real fast. I put headers on my car and then made an appointment 3 days later for the exhaust shop to install the pipe... so I drove to work and around places with straight headers. No torque, no noticable high end power added, but I never imagined how loud it could be!!! I MEAN IT, TOO LOUD!

It sure sounds mean idling at a stop light... everybody looks. Sounds like a 454 rumbling with straight pipes. I drove real easy on the gas most of the time to keep the noise down. I also heard its not good for your exhaust valves... not sure how.
But ya, I did scare someone. It was funny. I was speeding up on the freeway and some civic started to cut me off, I floored it and that baby made a noise you can hear a mile away. They got out of my way in a hurry. I'm glad that's over though. it was deafening
