ok on my 280zx there is a container right by the brake fluid that has a little sponge on the end of the dip stick and there is suppose to be some kind of pink fluid in there and my car is a manual so i don't think it's transmission fluid if you guys could tell me what goes in it that would help alot thanks

i think your talking about the windshield washer fluid... it should be the biggest plastic fluid container in your engine bay...

he did say that it was right next to the brake fluid.. and theres only 2 other fluids near the brake master cylinder.. and in some cases you can get red windshield washer fluid..

heres a pic of my engine bay showing the windshield wasker reservour right next to the brake master cylinder...

The power steering pump is the round black cylinder near the front of the engine; opposite side of the brake cylinder.

the plastic container described is definatly the windshield wash soap.
