Digital to analog.. Im stumped

All right peeps I did the digital to analog gauge cluster swap...BUT I am confused... I have it all working. But the ancient computer behind the glove box that controls the warning system requires 2 female adapters to plug into each end of it.. the analog harness has 2 males? NismoPick HELP

You use the analog dash harness for the analog cluster, digital dash harness for the digital cluster. :D

such vast knowledge :075: the analog harness doesn't fit the warning computer

Yes it does. Well it does if you take the analog pig tail out of a car with the warning computer. If you take it out of an analog car that didn't have a warning system.....

Quick question..

I did the digital to analog swap in my 83 280zx. all gauges are working. i didnt change the temp sending unit but im still getting a reading. a very high reading. is this accurate? why or why not? Thanks for the constant help:biggrin:

AHHH! I swapped mine and the temp. reads at 3/4 of the gauge. Was i suppose to change the ect sensor?

FricFrac Dec 9, 2012 09:16 PM

Don't think so. Might have some extra resistance in the harness somewhere - connector to the sender (temp sensor)? Could also be a faulty gauge....
