Try junkyards, ebay, classifieds.. etc etc

Do you want a replacement factory fuel injection ECU or are you looking for a re-programed performance ECU? They never made them for the non-turbo 280zx. (I think) But they are available for the 280zx turbo, zcarparts.com

What can you do for the non-turbo then? Cause I would like to know myself.

Meeee tooooo!!!!!!!

umm... almost nothing. I think they cost the same if they do reprogram them. $600 for +8-10hp? They flow enough fuel, its just that you need bigger intake ports in the head and a longer duration cam. Don't worry so much about the ECU. If you want a programable ECU, build a MegaSquirt unit.

I think I see what you are saying. Get more air into the cylinder and then the computer will balance out the air through the oxygen sensor, right. What about a bigger throttle body and afm? Or what about a mass air sensor(I think that is what it is called, of a 300zx)? Would that be better? Also what duration cam would be good?

i got a bigger afm and all the piping and a bigger TB of a 240sx and then just adjussted the AFM for "proper" mixture, i got a bigger exhaust...i dont notice any power off the line...but the high range is better....but i have a cheap version of "KN"(fake) filter on, really small too.... I had to move on a sunday and everything was closed so i bought that, maybe if i changed that it will improve it more even...
i say go for the larger AFM and larger TB, I have nother large TB but without TPS...i dunno if its of any use

Ya, I see those for sale on eBay all the time. Did you get tricked into buying it or did you just pick it up at a wrecking yard?

If you look at dyno sheets that have air/fuel readings almost all 2-valve engines (including the L28) run rich at high rpms where the power drops off. The limiting factor seems to be the cam. The cam is ground in such a way that you have good torque right off idle and good power through 5000 rpm. Your average driver never goes over 3500rpm anyway. (maybe not average for a sports car driver) A longer duration cam with high lift will get more air into the cylinder at those higher rpms and porting out the intake ports and possibly the intake manifold will help a lot too. With the same amount of fuel being meterd you will have a lot more power because you'll have a cleaner burn and higher compression. (less of a vaccume)

I've heard arguments about weather the larger throttle body is nessisary or not. In theory it sounds like a good upgrade as long as you port match the connection on the intake manifold. I put one on and didn't do any other work... and well, its useless. But I got lazy and ran out of money after that. :D

Also, MegaSquirt fuel injection does not use an air flow meter.

A good cam is 450 lift and 280 duration

:D I wouldn't doubt that!
I plan to go back to the stock throttle body. That'll put me back at the smooth throttle response right off idle.
