I was wondering if anybody but me has purchased the "Aluminized "Turbo" Style Exhaust System" from www.zcarparts.com. I like how it sounds and its reduces back pressure and everything, but its seems a little oversized for the application. Such as the super turbo muffler that came with the kit, I would imagine it would fit horizontally as to not be seen while viewing the car from its side. The only possible way i could fit it horizontally is if i were to cut the heat shield that blocks the muffler from the gas tank. I dont know if thats such a good idea or not because heat + gasoline = one burnt 280zx. If anybody else has purchased this application or the non aluminized version please enlighten me on how you mounted it, and tell me what you did or whatever to get it how it is, also post a picture if possible. It seems as though im the only one with a vertical muffler. Thanks a bunch.

 

A guy on zcar.com named SurfColorado has the MSA turbo exhaust on his car, maybe you can try to get ahold of him to see what he had to do.

Thanks for the guys name. I asked him and he is in the process of installing it. I couldn't wait so i went at it with my .22 and a baseball bat. After many gunyshots and blows to the head, the muffler fits nice and tight and looks AWESOME. Ill post a before and after picture when i get the time to do so!
